Cash Reconciliation Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Back Office Cash Reconciliation Specialist to join our team in Geneva. This position offers the opportunity to contribute in a dynamic environment where precision, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving skills are highly valued. The main responsibilities include:

• Cash Reconciliation:
  • Performing cash correspondent reconciliations for all EFG entities
  • Manual entry of statements from correspondents that are not automatically reconciled
  • Monitoring, Reviewing, and Investigating Cash Discrepancies on a Daily Basis
• Creating and maintaining a list of outstanding cash amounts
• Management and Tracking of Current Files
• Claiming and Recovering Missing Statements from Counterparties
• Review of Customer Wire Transfers
• Demonstration of strong knowledge of cash transfer activities (e.g., MT103, MT202, etc.)
• Understanding the roles of each party involved in wire transfers
• Creation and transmission of SWIFT messages (e.g., MT99, MT195, MT096, etc.) as needed
• Taking responsibility for managing investigations from start to finish
• Applying Knowledge of Compliance Requirements During Investigations
• Effective communication in English, both spoken and written

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in cash reconciliation and/or investigating customer transfers
• General Understanding of Back-Office Operations in the Banking Industry
• Native French speaker with fluent English (both spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
• Knowledge of GTMatch, GTExchange, and Globis is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office
