CDS Quality Assurance Lead

Job description

The CDS Quality Assurance Lead role involves maintaining the end-to-end 1LoD KYC framework throughout the customer lifecycle (onboarding, customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring, etc.). As part of the first line of defense, this role helps monitor the effectiveness of controls.

Tasks

• Conducting self-validations and post-implementation checks
• Ensuring that controls are well established and performed as intended in accordance with the requirements of the directive
• Regular evaluation and improvement of existing processes and controls in a commercially reasonable manner and with a regional focus
• Close collaboration with the CDO Business Integration Lead on KYC processes and system development
• Developing and improving the control framework in close collaboration with various teams within CDS
• Conducting thematic reviews, including data analysis, to proactively identify emerging risks, strengthen requirements, and raise risk awareness within CDS
• Maintaining and reporting risk metrics and key control results to management, and ensuring that follow-up actions are tracked and addressed

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent education in banking and/or finance
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the financial industry, preferably in private banking risk management, compliance, or internal audit
• Good understanding of local KYC regulations and familiarity with customer lifecycle operational processes and controls
• Proven practical experience in formulating and implementing KYC policies and procedures
• Strong ability to work analytically and creatively in a problem-solving and continuous improvement environment
• Ability to promote initiatives and facilitate decision-making
• ACAMS and other industry certifications preferred
