CEngineer

Man Group is seeking an experienced software engineer with in-depth knowledge of C# and .NET to lead the development of mission-critical systems and make technical decisions within the team. The ideal candidate should have 5–7 years of experience in software development and strong skills in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Role and responsibilities

The role involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complete software solutions—from requirements gathering and architectural design through development, testing, and production deployment. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Long-term technical initiatives and architectural improvements across systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on large-scale projects with business and technology objectives
  • Promotion of engineering best practices, including C#, TDD, automated testing, and scalable design systems
  • Conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance to colleagues and junior engineers
  • Proactive identification and resolution of technical debt; management of platform stability and performance
  • Lead incident response and end-to-end root cause analysis for production issues
  • Contributing to the Evolution of Our Engineering Culture and Platform Strategy

Key competencies

Essential:
  • 5–7+ years of professional experience in software engineering using C and .NET
  • Proven experience in software design, systems engineering, and distributed systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET, including C#, WinForms, SQL Server, and .NET Core
  • Enthusiasm for agile engineering—willingness and ability to work effectively in AI-supported development teams
  • Ability to align the delivery of business value with a long-term technical strategy
  • Effective communication skills, both with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A strong advocate for collaborative development practices and continuous improvement
Advantageous:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
