CEngineer – Risk Engineering

Man Group is seeking a C Engineer for its Risk Engineering team to develop solutions for real-time analysis of investment strategies and contribute to the further development of the technology platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in C#, .NET, and database technologies and be willing to continuously learn and acquire new technologies.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced C Engineer for our Risk Engineering team. As a C Engineer, you will work on developing solutions that enable real-time analysis of investment strategies. You will collaborate with our Risk Investment Risk Manager and other engineers to deliver solutions that support business success.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Responsibility for the entire delivery process – from problem analysis to delivery and operation
  • Participation in the planning, design, and delivery of long-term projects alongside experienced engineers
  • The creation and maintenance of tools and services for risk management and data analysis
  • Collaborating with risk officers and other engineering teams to develop solutions for investment risk
  • Participation in code reviews and knowledge transfer among colleagues
  • Continuous improvement of production components – reduction of technical debt, increase in delivery quality, and improvement in resource utilization
  • Support for production and operating systems, as well as participation in support rotation

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • Strong programming experience in C# and .NET
  • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, Clickhouse)
  • .NET Core and Care experience, as well as experience with Linux and Windows platforms
  • Strong delivery orientation with a focus on business value; code review, unit testing, continuous integration, and delivery
  • Collaborative software development practices; code review, unit testing, continuous integration, and delivery
  • Willingness and ability to work with AI/ML and AutoML development
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; clearly articulating ideas and dealing constructively with different opinions
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, programming languages, and domain knowledge

Additional requirements (not required, but advantageous)

  • Exposure to Python and its scientific ecosystem (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scipy)
  • Experience with other technologies such as ETL and Kafka
  • Knowledge of visualization tools (e.g., D3.js)
  • Experience with DevOps tools; Kubernetes/Docker/K8s
  • Experience with machine learning tools such as TensorFlow/PyTorch
  • Previous experience with financial market data or alternative data
