Central File Specialist

The position of Central File Specialist at Bank Syz in Geneva requires a candidate with at least 3–5 years of experience in a central file or client data management team, responsible for managing client accounts, preparing documents, and supporting teams. The role offers the opportunity to optimize processes and implement automation technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotic process automation.

Your tasks

  • Opening customer accounts
  • Granting access to online banking
  • Scanning and archiving documents related to account openings and account changes
  • Maintaining customer, business, third-party, and insurance records
  • Conducting legal research for the legal department
  • Providing support to front-office, legal, and compliance teams
  • Identify practical automation opportunities for central file processes (including the responsible use of AI tools and RPA/straight-through processing) that help optimize processes and reduce manual effort
  • Apply critical thinking to assess exceptions and risks, challenge incomplete information, and provide valuable insights to front-office, legal, and compliance teams

Your profile

  • Work experience: At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in a central file or client data management team
  • Experience in opening accounts and analyzing and coding account changes

Professional skills

  • Thorough knowledge of the requirements for account opening documentation (CDB)
  • Knowledge of FATCA/IG/CIS tax requirements
  • Legal knowledge, particularly in the areas of banking, family, corporate, and contract law

  • Interest in and ability to use AI and automation tools (e.g., workflow automation, RPA, copilots) to improve efficiency and quality

Other

  • Central File closure (e.g., Vision/Compliance) or relevant experience
  • CFC in Banking or equivalent qualification
