Central & Operations Compliance Officer
Man Group is seeking a Central & Operations Compliance Officer to join a team of five and be responsible for monitoring and implementing compliance policies across various areas, including the Code of Ethics, governance, and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with the front office and play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Purpose of the role
The Central & Operations Compliance department is a team of five people that covers a wide range of compliance topics, including the Code of Ethics, SM&CR, governance, fund and investment operations, CASS, regulatory reporting (including EMIR and MiFIR), AIFMD, short selling disclosures, regulatory outreach, and technology. This role plays a vital part in a key control function within Mans’ front office and provides exposure to all areas of the business.Specific responsibilities
- Managing the Code of Ethics ecosystem, including handling employee inquiries related to personal accounts, gifts, and entertainment, as well as sanctions and business ethics - Serving as part of the control function to coordinate employee confirmations and manage escalations of unresolved dilemmas and issues - Conducting compliance monitoring on Code of Ethics matters to identify non-compliance and violations, manage conflicts of interest, and provide related management information - Utilizing Mans Risk, Stress Testing & Scenario Analysis (RSTA), and other technology platforms to improve process efficiency and enhance monitoring capabilities - Supporting the Chief Risk Officer in compliance management, including monthly Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and reporting to the Risk & Finance and Audit & Risk Committees - Preparing statistics for Business Unit Systems & Control Committees - Supporting and covering other areas as defined in the compliance monitoring programTechnical skills
