About the role
The CEO of Sygnum Europe will be responsible for delivering the strategic mandate, commercial success and ensuring regulatory compliance of the entity. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the financial services sector, a solid understanding of the digital assets industry and a proven track record of leadership in a regulated environment.Tasks
- Strategic and cultural leadership:
- Co-develop and implement the unit's strategic mandate and long-term goals.
- Maintaining close links with the Group and its relevant stakeholders and functions.
- Fostering innovation and growth on our local digital asset service platform.
- Commercial success:
- Promote the development of our European business in order to achieve financial targets.
- Identification and exploitation of new market opportunities within the strategic mandate.
- Building and maintaining close relationships with important customers and partners.
- Public representation of Sygnum, e.g. at industry and customer events, conferences, etc.
- Regulatory management:
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Contact with regulatory authorities and representation of the company in regulatory discussions.
- Implementation of robust risk management frameworks and policies.
- Operational excellence:
- Monitoring the optimization of operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leading the development and implementation of cross-divisional projects.
- Ensuring the highest safety and reliability standards in our operating processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior role in the financial services sector.
- Visionary leadership with strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Passion for building connections and the ability to represent the company to external audiences, including customers, media and industry stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in Liechtenstein/Europe (MiCAR, DORA etc.) and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to drive commercial success and operational excellence.
- Proven track record of driving commercial growth and achieving ambitious financial targets.
- Interest in and understanding of the digital assets industry and blockchain technology.
- Valid work permit for Liechtenstein and availability to work at least 3 days per week on site.
