Chief Credit Officer - Division Head
BCV is seeking a Chief Credit Officer to lead the Credit Department, manage the bank’s operational credit policy, and optimize credit risk for various customer segments. The position requires at least 10 years of experience in credit decision-making and managing large teams, as well as in-depth knowledge of the Swiss economy.
Tasks
- Ensure operational management and quality by defining consistent credit policy approaches,
- Chair the Executive Board's Credit Committee,
- Oversee Credit Risk Management,
- Optimize the analysis, management, and detection of credit risks,
- Continuously improve credit processes (analysis, decision-making, structuring, data entry) and the division's operations,
- Define, organize, and lead strategic projects; establish the reporting mechanisms necessary to manage the division; and monitor its performance,
- Represent the Bank on various occasions as a member of the Executive Board,
- Chair and/or serve as a member on various internal committees.
Requirements
- A university education in the fields of finance/economics, law, or the sciences,
- At least 10 years of proven experience leading a major organizational unit as the person responsible for credit decision-making,
- In-depth knowledge of credit and project management in the areas of mortgages, commercial lending, and trade finance,
- Experience leading large teams and managing strategic projects,
- A good understanding of the economic landscape of the French-speaking region of Switzerland,
- Fluent in French, with a very good command of German and English.
