CIS Specialist for Onboarding and Periodic Reviews, Compliance Officer

EFG International is seeking a CIS Specialist Onboarding & Periodic Reviews Compliance Officer for its team in Switzerland, who will be responsible for conducting AML/TF due diligence reviews and advising the front office on KYC/AML matters. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in compliance roles and a good knowledge of the CIS markets.

Job description

We are looking for a CIS Specialist, Onboarding & Periodic Reviews Compliance Officer.

Tasks

The main tasks include:
  • Client Onboarding: Conducting standard and enhanced AML/TF due diligence reviews for client onboarding and Russian/CIS clients
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conducting enhanced AML/TF due diligence reviews for high-risk, special high-risk, and PEP cases, as well as complex cases and CIS analyses
  • Providing advice and support to the front office on all matters related to KYC/AML (including CIS)
  • Presentation of HRC/PEP/SHRC cases to the Client Acceptance Committee, including relevant risk assessments and concise compliance recommendations

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance roles covering KYC, AML/TF, transaction monitoring, and CTF/FATCA at a Swiss private bank
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the CIS markets and strong expertise are required
  • Act in accordance with principles, with integrity, and in a principled manner
  • A keen eye for detail to identify and address risks without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to resolve conflicts, and the ability to express oneself clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Collaborative in nature and open to suggestions from team members
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines for compliance remediation programs
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible in order to effectively handle unexpected problems and tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required. Russian and/or any CIS language is preferred, but may be substituted with another language. Russian, Mandarin, German, French, and/or Italian are a plus.
