CIS Specialist Onboarding & Periodic Reviews

Job description

We are looking for a CIS Specialist for Onboarding & Periodic Reviews to serve as a Compliance Officer.

Main tasks

• Perform client onboarding, including standard and enhanced AML/CFT due diligence for client onboarding and Russian/CIS sanctions
• Compliance analysis of the markets of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), with audits that are likely to be more complex than standard audits
• Periodic review processes: Conducting enhanced AML/CFT due diligence for high-risk, special high-risk, and PEP cases, as well as complex cases and CIS analysis
• Providing advice and support to the front office on all matters related to KYC/AML (including CIS)
• Presentation of HRC/PEP/HIR cases to the Client Acceptance Committee, including relevant risk assessments and concise compliance recommendations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in compliance roles, including KYC, AML/TF, transaction monitoring, and CTF/FATCA at a Swiss private bank
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in CIS markets are required
• Act in accordance with principles and with integrity
• A keen eye for detail to identify and address risks without losing sight of the bigger picture
• Strong communication skills, the ability to resolve conflicts, and the ability to express oneself clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Collaborative in nature and open to suggestions from team members
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices
• Strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines for compliance remediation programs
• Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected problems and tasks with flexibility
• Excellent communication skills in English are required. Russian and/or other CIS languages are preferred, but may be substituted with other languages: Mandarin, Spanish, German, French, and/or Italian are a plus
