CIS Specialist Onboarding & Periodic Reviews

EFG International is seeking a CIS Specialist for Onboarding & Periodic Reviews to serve as a Compliance Officer in Geneva, Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting AML/TF due diligence reviews and supporting the front office in KYC/AML matters. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in compliance roles and extensive knowledge of CIS markets.

CIS Specialist for Onboarding and Periodic Reviews, Compliance Officer, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Main tasks

- Client onboarding with standard and enhanced AML/TF due diligence checks for client onboarding and Russian/sanctions compliance in independent states; (CIS) market analysis, with checks likely to be more complex than standard ones - Periodic review process: conducting enhanced AML/TF due diligence checks for high-risk/special high-risk/PEP cases, as well as complex cases and CIS analysis - Providing advice and support to the front office on all matters related to KYC/AML (including CIS) - Presentation of HRC/PEP/SHRC cases to the Client Acceptance Committee with relevant risk assessments and concise compliance recommendations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance roles, including KYC, AML/TF, and transaction monitoring (CTF/FATCA) at Swiss private banks
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in CIS markets are required
  • Acting independently and with integrity
  • A keen eye for detail to identify and address risks without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Must be a strong communicator, able to resolve conflicts and express themselves clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Has a cooperative personality and is open to suggestions from team members
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines for compliance remediation programs
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to effectively handle unexpected problems and tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required. Russian and/or any CIS language are preferred, but may be substituted with Russian, Mandarin/Spanish, German, French, and/or Italian
