CIS Specialist Onboarding & Periodic Reviews

Job description

We are looking for a CIS Specialist for Onboarding & Periodic Reviews to serve as a Compliance Officer.

Tasks

The main tasks include:
  • Client onboarding with standard and enhanced AML/CFT due diligence for client onboarding and Russian/Ukrainian PEPs
  • Compliance monitoring of the Independent States (CIS) markets analysis, with audits that are likely to be more complex than standard ones
  • Periodic review processes: Conducting enhanced AML/CFT due diligence for high-risk, special high-risk, and PEP cases, as well as complex cases and CIS analysis
  • Providing advice and support to the front office on all matters related to KYC/AML (including CIS)
  • Presentation of HRC/PEP/SHRC cases to the Client Acceptance Committee, including relevant risk assessments and concise compliance recommendations

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance roles, including KYC, AML/TF, and transaction monitoring (CTF/FATCA) at Swiss private banks
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in CIS markets are required
  • Act with principle, independence, and integrity
  • An exceptional eye for detail, enabling the identification and correction of risks without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • An effective communicator who can resolve conflicts and express themselves clearly both verbally and in writing
  • A collaborative approach and openness to suggestions from team members
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines for compliance remediation programs
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to effectively handle unexpected problems and tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required. Russian and/or other CIS languages are preferred, but may be substituted with Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, German, French, and/or Italian
