Client Advisor - Swiss Onshore Market

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Executive Director Client Advisor in Zurich for the Swiss onshore market to advise and serve high-net-worth clients within the Private Banking division. The position requires extensive experience in wealth management, active client acquisition, and fluency in German and English.

Job Summary

  • Our Client Advisors work within J.P. Morgan's Swiss Private Banking business to build relationships with both existing and prospective clients, while expanding the scope of product distribution across the balance sheet.
  • They will partner with other internal specialists to implement solutions that advance clients' overall wealth management programs.
  • Our Client Advisors are self-starters with a proven track record of providing specialized advice to clients.
  • You would also be responsible for managing the client relationship and coordinating our resources to deliver a comprehensive relationship management solution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate business results and acquire new assets
  • Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation solutions, banking, trust services, and financial planning
  • Partner with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise for wealth management solutions, including support for the structure and advice related to private holdings, credit, and banking needs
  • Understand the client's goals and objectives to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to asset allocation, investment management, portfolio construction, and credit and banking needs
  • Ensure that proposed solutions meet clients' needs and objectives, and align with the long-term planning approach
  • Strictly adhere to all risk and control policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance throughout the AML program
  • Collaborate with other Client Advisors on the team to maximize the team's strength and achieve the team's goal

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Extensive experience in private banking, working with high-net-worth individuals, family-owned businesses, and entrepreneurs
  • Previous business development experience, including the ability to manage client relationships by building trust, thoroughly understanding clients’ needs, providing tailored solutions, delivering exceptional client service, and solving a wide range of issues. You would also be responsible for building long-term client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with a strategic understanding of clients' overall wealth management programs
  • A dynamic and credible professional who communicates with clients and other professionals (including senior stakeholders such as entrepreneurs)
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with an understanding of various banking and trust concepts
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, including financial planning, investment management, wealth planning, credit and legal products, estate planning products, and the identification of wealth; as well as the ability to position clients within structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage, credit, and banking solutions
  • A strong reputation and an established network
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Fluent speaker of French and/or Italian

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Asset allocation / multi-asset-class portfolio or sales experience
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is a plus
