Client Onboarding Officer

Job description

The Client Onboarding Officer is responsible for monitoring and approving the onboarding processes for new client relationships and accounts to ensure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.

Tasks

• Review and approval of onboarding processes for new customer relationships and accounts for various customer types
• Review and assessment of the adequacy of source-of-wealth declarations and supporting documentation
• Review and assessment of the risk posed by opaque legal structures
• Processing of hit reports as part of the name screening process
• Advising front-office staff on KYC/CDD matters
• Advising senior management and local risk committees on AML/CFT risks

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in KYC onboarding or AML, preferably in the private banking sector
• Good understanding of the private banking and asset management industry
• Strong knowledge of MAS 626 Notice & Guidelines
• Report creation and advanced Excel skills
