Client Onboarding Officer

The Client Onboarding Officer is responsible for reviewing and approving new client relationships and accounts at Julius Baer in Singapore to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. The incumbent must have experience in KYC onboarding or AML in the private banking industry and possess strong analytical skills.

Job description

The Client Onboarding Officer is responsible for monitoring and approving the onboarding processes for new client relationships and accounts. This includes compliance with regulations and internal guidelines as well as risk assessment.

Tasks

  • Review and approval of onboarding processes for new customer relationships and accounts
  • Assessment of the appropriateness of source-of-wealth narratives and correspondence
  • Assessment of the risk of opaque legal structures
  • Processing of hits for sanctions and other AML/CFT risks
  • Advising front-line staff on KYC/CDD-related matters
  • Advising management and local risk committees on AML/CFT risks

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in KYC onboarding or AML, preferably in private banking
  • Good understanding of the private banking and wealth management industry
  • Strong knowledge of MAS 626 Notice & Guidelines
  • Good understanding of the private banking or trust industry
  • Experience in creating reports and strong Excel skills

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity
