Client Portfolio Manager
As a Client Portfolio Manager at M Group in London, you will be responsible for the strategic development and management of investment portfolios, as well as advising discerning clients. The role involves conducting due diligence and risk assessments, and working closely with internal teams to implement customized investment solutions.
Purpose of the Role
- This position is for a Junior Stockbroker within the M Group London Capital (non-profit) Management Portfolio, M Group's portfolio manager.
- The Portfolio Management Team provides customized investment advisory services for M Group's strategies.
- Portfolio managers are responsible for creating portfolios, identifying unique opportunities, implementing portfolio strategies, assessing risks, evaluating external partners, and managing long-term investment portfolios.
- Our key strategies include:
- M Group's capital markets, M Group's global equities, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the strategic development of investment themes and plans, and provide ongoing updates to senior management
- Work with the fund manager throughout the investment cycle, from inception through review and resolution
- Gain a deep understanding of various asset classes, understand customer needs, and provide investment solutions
- Organize and facilitate investment research meetings; ensure internal communication among researchers, portfolio managers, business development, and compliance staff
- Serve as the primary point of contact for providing investment expertise and solutions to clients, as well as for managing the due process involved in investing external funds, and handle related administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with the firm's investment policies and regulations—both for the funds and the portfolio—and adhere to the required standards for the firm and the funds
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on portfolio performance, market trends, and investment themes
- Conduct due diligence on external fund managers, and engage in investment discussions and negotiations
