Client Relations Associate

The Client Relations Associate job provides support to the US sales team at Man Group, a global alternative investment management firm. Primary responsibilities include handling client inquiries, managing client files and coordinating reporting.

Job description

Tasks

  • Serve as a dedicated contact person for all daily customer inquiries
  • Maintain CRM system with client records, activities and pipeline and coordinate all ad hoc requests and ongoing reporting to senior management, including annual business plans and monthly/quarterly reports and reporting
  • Support the US Mid-Sales team in ensuring that all projects affecting the existing client base and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to achieve strategic goals; improve the overall efficiency of the team
  • Manage onboarding process by providing support and guidance for complex investor transactions
  • Coordinate customized, standardized and ad hoc reporting to our North American client base
  • Client onboarding: Manage the client onboarding process to ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Negotiate and manage new commercial agreements and the ongoing maintenance of these agreements (intermediaries, rebates, platform, custodian bank agreements, etc.)
  • Coordinate the implementation of customer restriction lists, trade error notification and side letter process in collaboration with the US customer service team

Requirements

  • Interest in all alternative asset classes, including systematic and discretionary public equities and fixed income (long-only and hedge funds), managed futures, private equity and real estate
  • Financial knowledge: 2+ years of experience in a similar role; experience in a fast-paced investment management or advisory firm
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, prospects and individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel). Familiarity with Salesforce, MDM and other sales management tools is an advantage
