Client Relations Associate

Tasks
- The following individuals serve as dedicated points of contact for ad hoc customer inquiries:
- Maintain a CRM system with customer records, activity logs, and a sales pipeline, and coordinate all ad hoc inquiries and requests from internal and external business partners
- Support the sales team's priorities and contribute to all projects related to the existing customer base, as well as work with various internal stakeholders on strategic initiatives to improve the team's efficiency
- Manage the client onboarding process by providing support documents such as counterparty, settlement, and clearing information; execution agreements; standard client due diligence questionnaires; RFI and DDSO agreements; market data and legal agreements; annual compliance reviews; and client update calls
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Legal, Marketing) and teams to ensure that all customer due diligence reports (e.g., Know Your Customer, AML) are reported to the business development and risk teams
- Coordinate the ongoing customer subscription and cancellation process and ensure that updates are communicated in a timely and reliable manner
- Initiate and implement new and existing agreements, as well as perform ongoing maintenance of these agreements (interim/definitive agreements, repurchase agreements, custody agreements, etc.)
- Coordinating legal documents, trade confirmations, or side-letter authentication processes in collaboration with the compliance team
Requirements
- Familiarity with the full spectrum of active alternative asset classes, including systematic and discretionary styles as well as liquid and illiquid investment strategies (e.g., equity, daily, liquid, and illiquid funds), mergers and acquisitions, and asset management operations related to investor relations
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in financial markets, investment banking, or investment operations related to investor relations
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to succeed in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Ability to build strong working relationships with customers, prospects, and people at all levels of the company
- Advanced Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), familiarity with Salesforce, HFM, and other sales management tools
