Client Relationship Officer (CRO)

EFG Bank is seeking a motivated financial services professional to serve as a Client Relationship Officer (CRO) and provide support to high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, helping them achieve their financial goals, and ensuring compliance with the bank’s regulations.

Tasks

  • Prospecting for strategic high-net-worth clients for EFG Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Ltd and its custodians within the respective region.
  • Management of client relationships with a focus on investment advice, investment management, and discretionary services.
  • Execution of securities trading orders and assessment of suitability.
  • Ensure that the scorecard value reaches 100%.
  • Ensuring sufficient funding to cover transaction activity in customer accounts.
  • Analysis of portfolio positions, investment maturities, dividend payments, coupon receipts, and handling of corporate actions.
  • Maintaining the integrity of recorded credit transactions, ensuring appropriate credit ratings, covering overdrafts, etc.
  • Ongoing review of client accounts and related investment and transaction activities to ensure compliance with the department’s requirements and the advisors’ general guidelines.
  • Communicating with customers to address their needs, identify complaints, and, if necessary, forward them to management.
  • Face-to-face meetings with customers in the assigned region.
  • Tracking the investment performance of client portfolios.
  • Preparing forecasts for new business and tracking the progress of the current business process.

Requirements

  • Management of a portfolio of HNW and UHNW clients with total assets exceeding $25 million.
  • Degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Registration with the Securities Commission of the Bahamas, Canadian registration, or similar registration is required.
  • A solid understanding of investment products, financial market fundamentals, and account management and administration.
  • At least 5–7 years of professional experience in private banking, brokerage, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to compliance.
