Client Relationship Officer

The Client Relationship Officer is responsible for managing client relationships and marketing private banking services to clients in Hong Kong. The position requires a strong focus on risk management and compliance, as well as the ability to understand client needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Tasks

  • Risk Management and Compliance: Compliance with laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies, and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Proactive identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Timely mitigation of risks and resolution of problems, including collaboration with all relevant stakeholder functions and the establishment of effective controls.
  • Presenting the bank and its banking services to potential customers.
  • Supporting the expected business performance, as defined by management.
  • Marketing and providing private banking services to clients, including banking services, investment services, wealth planning, and trust services.
  • Conducting KYC/AML due diligence checks on customers in accordance with the bank’s general policy during the account opening process and as part of regular reviews.
  • Conducting investment risk assessments with clients when they open accounts, as well as conducting regular reviews to ensure that clients are receiving appropriate investment products.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the bank’s investment units, such as the Treasury Department, EFG Asset Management, and the Global Product Unit, to provide clients with product information and market commentary.
  • Monitoring customer portfolios and accounts to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Preparation and retention of appropriate records, including account documentation, CIP records, loan applications, and relevant documents, as well as trade transactions and call reports.
  • Responsible and effective management of business expenses.

Requirements

  • Licenses: Type 1 and Type 4.
  • Certificate: CPWP.
  • A university degree or equivalent.
  • Professional qualifications such as the Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) are a plus.
