Client Relationship Officer
The Client Relationship Officer is responsible for managing client relationships and marketing private banking services in Hong Kong. The position requires a university degree, relevant licenses and certifications, as well as experience in risk management and compliance.
Tasks
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Compliance with laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies, and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Completion of mandatory risk and compliance training, including e-learning, within the specified timeframe.
- Proactive identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders.
- Timely mitigation of risks and resolution of problems, including collaboration with all relevant stakeholder functions and the establishment of effective controls.
- Introduces the bank and its banking services to potential customers.
- Supports the expected business performance target set by management.
- Provides private banking services to clients, including, but not limited to, banking services, investment services, wealth planning, and trust services.
- Conducts KYC/AML due diligence checks on customers to ensure compliance with bank policies during the account opening process and ongoing periodic reviews.
- Conducts the investment risk profile questionnaire with clients and performs ongoing periodic reviews to ensure that clients have appropriate investment products, risk tolerance, and investment experience.
- Communicates and coordinates with the bank’s investment units, such as the Treasury Department, EFG Asset Management, and the Global Product Unit, to provide product information and market commentary to clients.
- Monitors client portfolios and account activity to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Creates and maintains proper records, including but not limited to account documentation, CIP, loan applications, and relevant documents, as well as trade transactions and call logs.
- Manages business expenses responsibly and effectively.
Requirements
- Licenses: Type 1 and Type 4.
- Certificate – CPWP.
- A college degree or equivalent.
- Professional qualifications such as the Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) are a plus.
