Client Service Officer – EAM

The position of Client Service Officer at Bank Syz in Geneva requires an experienced professional with at least five years of experience in banking, who will focus on providing client support and assisting the Relationship Manager. Your tasks

  • Assist the Relationship Manager in their daily work by supporting clients and handling administrative and operational inquiries.
  • Maintain daily telephone contact with customers and ensure that issues are always addressed promptly to guarantee high-quality service and operational excellence.
  • Accurately and promptly execute client instructions, process payments and transfers (orders, trades, etc.), ensure that callbacks are performed systematically, and provide support for other types of transactions as needed.
  • Processing account openings for new clients—including personal accounts, businesses, operating companies, and complex structures such as trust assets (both simple and complex) and foundations—in collaboration with the Relationship Manager, as well as making changes to existing client accounts.
  • Coordinating with attorneys, notaries, executives, trustees, and other intermediaries: analyzing and preparing loan applications, assisting with the drafting of loan agreements, and issuing loans, guarantees, and letters of credit.
  • Preparation of reports at the request of customers, supervisors, compliance officers, or other authorized persons.
  • Management of trust deposits and loan placements, including renewals; execution of investment orders (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity); cash and foreign exchange transactions, etc.
  • Support for all periodic reviews (PER, low- and high-risk reviews).
  • Ensure strict oversight of documentation, and maintain and update customer records.

Your profile

  • Education: Education in banking and/or finance.
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience as an assistant, including solid knowledge of compliance matters (account opening, KYC, periodic reviews) and investment products. Previous experience working with clients and a proven commercial mindset gained by supporting the Relationship Manager in business development, events, and client tool development.
