Client Service Officer
EFG International is seeking a Client Service Officer in Luxembourg to serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams and ensure the seamless execution of client instructions. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a similar role in private banking or the financial services industry.

We are looking for a proactive Client Support Officer (CSO) who is passionate about building customer loyalty and committed to helping us fulfill our mission of empowering entrepreneurial minds to create long-term value. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between clients and our internal teams, ensuring the smooth execution of client instructions and fostering strong relationships in a dynamic work environment.key tasks
- Receive, prepare, and initiate the execution of client instructions in accordance with internal procedures (authorizations, completion of internal forms, collection of internal signatures when necessary, and forwarding of instructions to the appropriate department).
- Managing investment instructions received from clients.
- Collecting client instructions in the event of corporate actions.
- Monitor the accuracy and completeness of customer files.
- Monitor outstanding issues and escalate them to the Client Relationship Officer (CRO) as needed.
- Act as the point of contact on behalf of the team for other departments within the bank, as needed (troubleshooting, inquiries, etc.).
- Serve as the Client Relationship Officer’s alternate point of contact for clients (answering phone calls, attending meetings, etc.).
- Conduct research when requested by the CRO.
- Prepare all supporting documentation on behalf of the CRO.
- Assist the CRO with all other delegated tasks.
- Monitor loans on a daily or monthly basis (checking for limit breaches, collateral shortfalls, overdrafts, risk concentration, significant losses, etc.).
- Monitor operational quality on a daily basis (renewal of deposits, pending orders, MiFID profile, checking for negative cash balances, etc.).
- Monitor risks on an annual basis (inactive accounts, dormant accounts, accounts with low balances, claims processing and case-by-case follow-up, etc.).
Requirements
- Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role in private banking or the financial services industry.
- Skills: Strong understanding of private banking processes, financial products, and regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, FATCA, CRS).
- Languages: Excellent knowledge of Greek and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in standard IT systems; ability to quickly learn new software.
