Client Service Officer

EFG International is seeking a Client Service Officer to serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams and ensure the seamless execution of client instructions. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a similar role in private banking or the financial services industry.

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Client Support Officer (CSO) who is passionate about building customer loyalty and committed to helping us fulfill our mission of empowering entrepreneurial minds to create long-term value. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between clients and our internal teams, ensuring the smooth execution of client instructions and fostering strong relationships in a dynamic work environment.

Tasks

The most important tasks include:
  • Receiving, preparing, and initiating the execution of client instructions in accordance with internal procedures (authorizations, completion of internal forms, collection of internal signatures, and forwarding of instructions to the relevant departments)
  • Management of investment instructions received from clients
  • Collecting client instructions in the event of corporate actions
  • Monitoring the accuracy and completeness of customer files
  • Monitoring outstanding issues and escalating them to the Client Relationship Officer (CRO) as needed
  • Serve as the point of contact for other departments within the bank when necessary (troubleshooting, inquiries, etc.)
  • Serve as the Client Relationship Officer’s backup point of contact for clients (answering calls, attending meetings, etc.)
  • Conducting research at the request of the CRO
  • Preparation of documents at the CRO's request
  • Assisting the CRO with other delegated tasks
  • Monitoring of loans on a daily or monthly basis (checking for limit breaches, collateral shortfalls, overdrafts, risk concentration, significant losses, etc.)
  • Monitoring of operational quality on a daily basis (renewal of deposits, pending orders, MiFID profile, review of negative cash balances, etc.)
  • Annual monitoring of risks (inactive accounts, holdmail accounts, accounts with low balances, escalation of legal proceedings, and case-by-case follow-up, etc.)

Requirements

The most important requirements include:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in private banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of private banking processes, financial products, and regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, FATCA, CRS)
  • Excellent proficiency in Greek and English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in standard IT systems; ability to quickly learn new software
