Client Service Officer – Zurich

The Syz Group is seeking a Client Service Officer in Zurich to handle client administration, support, and relationship management, and to serve as a trusted point of contact. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in the financial sector, a solid understanding of compliance matters and investment products, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Assist the Relationship Manager with daily client support and handling administrative and operational inquiries
  • Contact customers by phone to ensure that prompt action is taken and a high standard of service quality is maintained
  • Executing customer instructions accurately and in a timely manner, processing payment and transfer transactions, ensuring systematic callbacks, and providing support for other types of transactions
  • Management of loyalty deposits, loan placements, renewals, execution of investment orders, cash and foreign exchange transactions, etc.
  • Analysis and preparation of loan applications, assistance with the drafting of loan agreements, issuance of funds, guarantees, and letters of credit
  • Processing new customer account openings; preparing reports at the request of customers, supervisors, compliance officers, or other authorized individuals
  • Assisting relationship managers with periodic reviews and participating in bank events

Risk management & controls

The tasks include:
  • Ensuring strict oversight of documentation, as well as the maintenance and updating of customer instructions, information, and preferences, and compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Understanding of Syz’s risk management framework and knowledge of risk responsibilities within the team to ensure compliance with regulations, laws, internal rules, policies, and guidelines
  • Maintaining adequate knowledge and completing all required training to acquire and maintain the necessary skills and knowledge for the role

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • Relevant education (banking and/or finance or equivalent) and professional experience (experience in the financial industry)
  • 1–3 years of experience as an assistant with solid knowledge of compliance matters (account opening, KYC, periodic reviews) and investment products
  • Proven success in serving bank customers with complex needs
  • A solid understanding of global financial markets and current industry trends
