Client Service Officer – Zurich
The Syz Group is seeking a Client Service Officer in Zurich who can meet client needs, develop innovative solutions, and be part of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in the financial sector, is service-oriented, and is a team player.
Tasks
The tasks include:- Supporting relationship managers in their day-to-day interactions with clients and handling administrative and operational inquiries
- Contact customers by phone to ensure that prompt action is taken and a high standard of service quality is maintained
- Executing client orders accurately and on time, processing payment and transfer transactions, trades, etc.
- Management of trust deposits, loan placements, rollovers, execution of investment orders (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity), cash and foreign exchange transactions, etc.
- Analysis and preparation of loan applications, assistance in drawing up loan agreements, issuance of loans, guarantees, and letters of credit
- Processing new customer account openings—including personal accounts, business accounts, operating companies, and complex structures such as trust companies (both simple and complex)
- Assisting relationship managers with all periodic reviews (PER, low- and high-risk reviews)
Risk management & controls
The tasks include:- Ensuring strict oversight of the documentation, maintenance, and updating of client instructions, client information, and client preferences, as well as compliance with internal and external regulations (AML, FINMA, ESMA, etc.)
- Understanding of Syz’s risk management framework and familiarity with risk responsibilities within the team to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations, laws, internal rules, and policies
- Maintaining adequate knowledge and completing all required training to acquire and maintain the necessary level of competence and knowledge to perform the role
Requirements
The requirements include:- Language skills: English and German
- Education and Experience: Relevant degree (in banking and/or finance or equivalent) and professional experience (experience in the financial industry)
- 1–3 years of experience as an assistant, including a solid understanding of compliance matters (account opening, KYC, periodic reviews) and investment products
- A proven track record of success in supporting bank clients with complex needs (onboarding new clients, maintaining and expanding existing relationships, and demonstrating a commercial mindset to assist the Relationship Manager with certain business development initiatives, events, etc.)
