Client Services Officer

The Client Services Officer position in Zurich involves client support, execution of financial transactions and management of client accounts. The ideal candidate will have a banking-related education, experience in the banking industry and good knowledge of financial instruments and compliance regulations.

Tasks

  • Support the Client Relationship Officer (CSO) in daily business activities;
  • Active customer contact, verbal and written;
  • Providing first class service to customers (regular and prompt contact with customers by phone/email);
  • Execution of customer account openings, closings and updates (Internet research, provision of documents);
  • Preparation and follow-up of customer visits (account documentation, checking documents, account statements, etc.);
  • Execution and control of client instructions (stock exchange transactions, payments, foreign exchange transactions, options, SWAPs, NDFs, etc.);
  • Various administrative and organizational tasks (customer checks, missing/pending tasks, delivery of hold mail, etc.);
  • Preparation of marketing material (presentations/pitchbooks/proposals/portfolio reviews);
  • Execution of paper and e-banking tasks;
  • Compliance with the Code of Conduct and all internal regulations (e.g. Cross Border, AML, Clear Desk Policy, absence management).

Requirements

  • Commercial apprenticeship in a bank or similar bank-related training, higher financial education completed or in progress;
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a bank;
  • Good understanding of financial instruments (shares, bonds, structured products, derivatives);
  • Good knowledge of compliance/AML topics;
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.);
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with a heavy workload;
  • Precise and detail-oriented;
  • Team player with a solution-oriented attitude and a pragmatic approach;
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written. German is a plus.
