Client Services Officer Private Banking

EFG International is seeking a Client Services Officer (CSO) for a 12-month permanent maternity cover position to handle client instructions and build relationships. The position involves executing client instructions, managing investments and monitoring risks.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive Client Support Officer (CSO) for a maternity cover. In this role, you will be a key link between clients and our internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of client briefs and build strong relationships in a stimulating and dynamic working environment.

Main tasks

  • Receive, prepare and initiate the execution of customer instructions in compliance with internal procedures (approvals, preparation of internal forms, collection of internal signatures if required, transmission of instructions to the relevant department)
  • Management of investment instructions received from clients
  • Collection of customer instructions for corporate events
  • Monitoring the accuracy and completeness of customer files
  • Tracking of open issues and escalation to the Customer Relations Officer (CRO) if required
  • Contact person for other departments of the bank, if necessary (troubleshooting, inquiries, etc.)
  • Alternative contact person for the Customer Relations Officer for customers (answering the phone, meetings, etc.)
  • Carrying out searches at the request of the CRO
  • Preparation of documentary support on behalf of the CRO
  • Supporting the CRO with other delegated tasks
  • Daily or monthly monitoring of loans (review of limit overruns, collateral overruns, overdrafts, risk concentration, significant losses, etc.)
  • Daily monitoring of operational quality (renewal of deposits, outstanding orders, MiFID profile, review of negative cash balances, etc.)
  • Annual monitoring of risks (dormant accounts, accounts with low activity, small balances, escalation of claims and follow-up of individual cases, etc.)

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role in private banking, life insurance or financial services
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of private banking processes, financial products and regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, FATCA, CRS)
  • Languages: Excellent language skills in English and French; additional languages are a plus
  • Technical skills: Experience with standard IT systems; ability to learn new software quickly
