Client Services Officer - Private Banking - Greek Speaker

A Client Services Officer (CSO) is required at EFG International in London to act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, handling client concerns and building relationships. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in private banking or financial services and speak Greek.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive Client Services Officer (CSO) who is committed to serving clients and helping to fulfill our mission of empowering entrepreneurial minds to create long-term value. In this role, you will be a key liaison between clients and our internal teams, ensuring the smooth execution of client instructions while building strong relationships in a stimulating and dynamic work environment.

Main tasks:

  • Bank and client-related administration, e.g:
    • Transfers and payments
    • foreign exchange transactions
    • Monitoring and determination of bank deposits
    • Processing of purchase and sale transactions
  • Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues and escalate to the Customer Relationship Officer (CRO) if necessary.
  • Internal advocacy, e.g., vis-à-vis operations, compliance, and offshore entities, as necessary for conducting annual reviews and onboarding documents
  • Where authorized by the Fitness and Propriety Certificate: promotion, recommendation, and arrangement of banking and investment products and services
  • Preparing documentary support on behalf of the CRO to ensure the timely completion of periodic audits and onboarding submissions
  • Completion and processing of loan applications and reviews, as well as administration of new loans from approval to disbursement
  • Carrying out research work at the request of the CRO
  • Act as the team's point of contact for other departments within the bank (troubleshooting, inquiries, etc.)
  • Compliance with the Code of Conduct and all internal regulations (e.g., cross-border transactions, anti-money laundering, clear desk policy, absence management)

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role in private banking or financial services

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of private banking processes, financial products and regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, FATCA, CRS)

Technical skills:

  • Familiarity with standard IT systems; ability to learn new software quickly

Qualifications:

  • AID Level 4 required
  • Greek language (mandatory)
