Client Support Officer

EFG International is seeking a Client Support Officer for its branch in St. Moritz to provide administrative and client-related support and contribute to the smooth operation of the front office. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, proactive, and has experience in the private banking industry.

Job description

We are looking for a Client Support Officer to support our growing operations in St. Moritz. The Client Support Officer will provide high-quality administrative and client-focused support to our Client Relationship Officers (CROs) and help ensure the smooth operation of our front office and support systems.

Main tasks

  • Supporting clients and CROs in their day-to-day business operations
  • Maintaining client contacts in German and English
  • Providing high-quality service to clients through regular and ad hoc contact by phone and email
  • Opening, closing, and updating client accounts
  • Execution of client instructions, such as securities transactions, payments, and foreign exchange transactions
  • Performing various administrative and organizational tasks

Reception and Front Office Support

  • Greeting and assisting clients upon their arrival
  • Handling reception duties, including answering phone calls and scheduling meeting rooms
  • Preparing and serving beverages to clients and ensuring a high standard of hospitality

Cashier and Branch Support

  • Assistance with daily teller operations, including customer deposits and withdrawals
  • Processing of basic payment and cash register transactions in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Coordinate with CROs and other team members to ensure smooth industry operations

Requirements

  • Business training at a bank or similar banking-related training
  • Continuing education in the financial sector is beneficial
  • At least 3 years of experience at a private bank or in a brokerage environment
  • A solid understanding of financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, investment products, and alternatives
  • Solid knowledge of compliance and AML issues relevant to private banking
  • Proficient Use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Familiarity with banking systems and front-office tools is a plus
  • A high degree of reliability, discretion, and integrity
  • Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to working hours when necessary
  • Fluency in spoken and written German and English (required)
  • Knowledge of Italian is a major plus; knowledge of other languages is an asset
