Client Support Officer

EFG International is seeking a Client Support Officer in St. Moritz to provide administrative and client-focused support to Client Relationship Officers and contribute to the smooth operation of the front office. The ideal candidate is a service-oriented, hands-on professional with experience in the private banking sector and excellent communication skills in German and English.

Job Description

To support our growing operations in St. Moritz, we are seeking a Client Service Officer who will provide high-quality administrative and client-focused support to our Client Relationship Officers (CROs) and help ensure the smooth operation of our front office, reception, and teller services.

Main tasks

  • Client and CRO support:
    • Supporting clients and CROs in their day-to-day business activities.
    • Maintaining active client relationships through written and spoken communication in German and English.
    • Providing top-notch service to clients through regular and prompt communication by phone and email.
    • Processing client account openings, closures, and updates, including:
      • Conducting online research and basic due diligence.
      • Collecting and verifying supporting documents.
    • Execution and verification of client instructions, such as:
      • Stock market transactions.
      • Payments and transfers.
      • Forex trading.
  • Reception and Front Office Support:
    • Greet and assist clients upon their arrival to ensure a professional and warm first impression.
    • Handling reception duties, including:
      • Answering and transferring phone calls.
      • Coordinating meeting room reservations.
  • Center and Industry Support:
    • Assistance with daily cashier duties, including:
      • Processing of client deposits and withdrawals.
    • Collaborate with CROs and other team members to ensure smooth industry operations.

Requirements

  • Education and professional background:
    • Business training at a bank or similar banking-related training.
    • Further training in the financial sector is beneficial.
    • At least 3 years of experience at a private bank or in a brokerage environment.
  • Skills:
    • A solid understanding of financial instruments, including:
      • Stocks, bonds, structured products, and derivatives.
    • Knowledge of compliance and AML, as well as specific requirements for universal banking.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
    • Familiarity with banking systems and front-office tools is a plus.
    • Strong client-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • A high degree of reliability, discretion, and integrity.
    • Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to working hours when necessary.
