Client Support Officer - IAM

The Client Support Officer - IAM in Athens is responsible for processing client instructions, onboarding, and the daily monitoring of limits and collateral within the Private Banking division. The position requires 3–5 years of experience in wealth management, as well as fluency in Greek and English.

Tasks

  • Receiving, reviewing, and preparing client instructions in accordance with internal procedures, including verifying powers of attorney, completing internal forms, and obtaining the necessary internal signatures.
  • Recording and processing customer instructions in the banking system. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and daily updating of all values in SGI2.
  • Recording and promptly processing customer instructions for internal teams (e.g., payments, confirmations, and margin call instructions) and ensuring a timely response from the relevant internal teams.
  • Collaborate with and support corporate clients during the onboarding phase, including onboarding them into required systems/apps if the initial setup requires approvals; update client documentation; and serve as the point of contact for the compliance team on all matters, including the approval of fees between the client.
  • Serve as the point of contact on behalf of the IAM Desk for other departments regarding troubleshooting, information requests, and operational inquiries.
  • Serve as an alternative point of contact for customers (e.g., answering calls, participating in on-site visits) to ensure continuity of service.
  • Conduct daily online monitoring, including tracking limit breaches, collateral movements, account balances, and discrepancies with procedures, as well as checking for margin calls.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of operational quality, including reviewing records, pending orders (for execution) after the close of business, and reviewing daily customer positions (discrepancies, warnings, etc.).
  • Conduct annual risk monitoring activities, including the review of inactive accounts, held emails, accounts with low balances, and SMS customers, while ensuring appropriate escalation and follow-up.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role in private banking or wealth management.
  • A strong understanding of financial products and the broader financial services landscape.
  • In-depth knowledge of private banking processes, front-to-back workflows, and the lifecycle of the financial client relationship.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
