Cloud Platform Engineer
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to support the development and operation of a cloud platform and to work closely with development teams to promote their adoption of cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, and GitOps, as well as a strong foundation in software engineering.
Tasks
- Enhance our cloud platform by operationalizing new services and delivering them to end users through fully automated, GitOps-driven workflows.
- Collaborating with development teams to provide support and mentoring as they adopt the cloud
Your profiles
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, including familiarity with the Operator pattern; experience with Crossplane is a plus
- A strong background in software engineering; prior experience with Go (Golang) is a valuable asset
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset – You are proactive, innovative, and willing to share your ideas.
- A proven track record in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- A cloud certification (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
