Cloud Platform Engineer
The Julius Baer Group is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to support the development and operation of a cloud platform and work closely with development teams. The ideal candidate will have experience with infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure, as well as a strong background in software engineering.
Tasks
- Enhance our cloud platform offering by operationalizing new services and delivering them to end users through fully automated, GitOps-driven workflows
- Collaborate closely with development teams, providing support and mentorship throughout their cloud adoption journey
Requirements
- Profound hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices
- Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, including familiarity with the operator pattern. Experience with Crossplane is an advantage
- Solid software engineering background; prior experience with Go (Golang) is a valuable asset
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, preferably in enterprise-scale cloud environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset – you’re proactive, innovative, and eager to share your ideas
- Proven track record in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- A cloud certification (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent) is considered a strong advantage.
