Collection Specialist
Arval Switzerland is seeking a Collection/Debt Collection Specialist (80–100%) for its Finance Team in Rorschwil, who will handle the entire debt collection process from start to finish and work with customers and partners to find fair solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in debt collection, a solid understanding of debt collection law, and strong communication skills in multiple languages.
Tasks
- They handle the entire debt collection process from start to finish—from identifying customers who are overdue for a reminder, to taking appropriate action, to initiating debt enforcement proceedings
- You engage in discussions with customers and partners, seek fair solutions, and find sustainable payment arrangements (approval of payment methods, debt restructuring, payment deferrals, etc.)
- You will work with our colleagues in Sales, Risk, and Accounting to fill the open positions for our specialists. We offer solutions and legal representation to our in-house specialists and external partners.
- You keep track of receivables, analyze key performance indicators, and help us achieve our financial goals
- You actively contribute to projects aimed at further developing and digitizing our processes
Requirements
- completed
- has a strong knowledge of debt collection law (SchKG) and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection
- has, at best, some knowledge of the leasing sector and is very good with numbers
- communicates and negotiates fluently in German, English, and/or French. Italian is a plus
- is highly proficient in using Excel
- has strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and tact when dealing with debtors
- works independently and in an organized manner, and their work is characterized by precision
