Collection Specialist

Tasks

• They handle the entire debt collection process from start to finish—from identifying customers who are likely to default early on, to taking appropriate action, to initiating debt enforcement proceedings
• You will engage in discussions with customers and partners, seek fair solutions, and find sustainable payment arrangements (resolving payment difficulties, negotiating installment plans, and evaluating debt restructuring and deferral offers)
• You will work closely with our colleagues in Sales, Risk, and Accounting to support the decision-making process or help prevent legal disputes
• You keep track of everything (accounts receivable, outstanding invoices) and help us manage our finances
• You actively contribute to projects aimed at further developing and digitizing our processes

Requirements

• Has a good knowledge of the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG) and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection
• Ideally has knowledge of the leasing sector and is highly numerate; communicates and negotiates with ease in German, English, and/or French; Italian is a plus
• Is highly proficient in using Excel
• Possesses negotiation skills, assertiveness, and tact when dealing with debtors
• Works independently and in an organized manner, and their work is characterized by precision
