Collection Specialist

Arval Switzerland is seeking a Collection Specialist (80–100%) for its Finance Team in Rotkreuz to handle debt collection and receivables management. The position requires a solid understanding of debt collection law and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection.

Tasks

You will handle the entire debt collection process from start to finish, from identifying receivables requiring follow-up early on, to verifying our customers’ creditworthiness in collaboration with our colleagues in Sales, Risk, and Accounting, all the way through to initiating legal proceedings. Your responsibilities include:
  • Checking our customers' creditworthiness and taking appropriate action
  • Discussions with customers and partners to find fair solutions and establish sustainable payment arrangements (developing payment proposals)
  • Drafting of data regulations (accurate, based on penalties and deferrals)
  • Close collaboration with our internal and external partners, as well as government agencies and attorneys
  • Preparation of the overview (of receivables, analysis of key performance indicators, and contribution to achieving our financial goals)
  • Active participation in projects to further develop and digitize our processes

Requirements

You have:
  • Strong knowledge of the Debt Enforcement Act (SchKG) and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection
  • Knowledge of leasing and a strong aptitude for numbers
  • Fluency in German, English, and/or French (knowledge of Italian is a plus)
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel
  • Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and empathy when dealing with debtors
  • An independent, structured, and meticulous approach to work
