Collection Specialist

Tasks

• We handle the entire debt collection process from start to finish—from identifying customers in need of reminders early on, to taking appropriate action, to initiating legal proceedings
• Conducting discussions with customers and partners, seeking fair solutions, and finding sustainable payment arrangements (developing payment proposals, negotiating installment plans, and evaluating debt restructuring and payment deferrals)
• Close collaboration with colleagues in Sales, Risk, and Accounting; handling inquiries from other departments or attorneys
• Overview of receivables, analysis of key performance indicators, and contribution to achieving our financial goals
• Active participation in projects to further develop and digitize our processes

Requirements

• Completed training
• Strong knowledge of debt collection law (SchKG) and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection
• Knowledge of the leasing industry is a plus
• Fluency in German, English, and/or French; knowledge of Italian is a plus
• Excellent proficiency in Excel
• Diplomacy, assertiveness, and tact when dealing with debtors
• An independent, structured, and meticulous approach to work
