Collection Specialist

Arval Switzerland is seeking a Collection Specialist (80–100%) for its Finance Team in Rotkreuz, who will be responsible for debt collection and communication with customers and partners. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of debt collection law and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection.

Tasks

You will handle the entire debt collection process from start to finish—from identifying potential payment delays early on, to taking appropriate action, to initiating debt enforcement proceedings. Your responsibilities include:
  • engaging in discussions with customers and partners to find fair solutions and establish sustainable payment arrangements
  • working with our colleagues in Sales, Risk, and Accounting, as well as liaising with banks and attorneys
  • keeping track of receivables, analyzing key metrics, and helping us meet our financial goals
  • actively contributing to projects to further develop and digitize our processes

Requirements

You have:
  • Strong knowledge of debt collection law (SchKG) and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection
  • Ideally, you have experience in the leasing sector and are very good with numbers
  • the ability to communicate and negotiate fluently in German, English, and/or French; Italian is a plus
  • the ability to use Excel with confidence
  • Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and tact when dealing with debtors
  • the ability to work independently, in an organized and precise manner
