Collection Specialist

Arval Switzerland is seeking a Collections Specialist (80–100%) for its Finance Team in Rotkreuz, who will be responsible for collections and communication with customers and partners. The ideal candidate has experience in collections, a solid understanding of debt collection law, and strong communication skills.

Tasks

Your tasks:
  • We handle the entire debt collection process—from identifying customers in need of reminders early on, to taking appropriate action, all the way through to debt enforcement
  • You will engage in discussions with customers and partners, seek fair solutions, and find sustainable payment arrangements (developing payment proposals, negotiating installment plans, and evaluating requests for debt restructuring and payment deferrals)
  • You will work closely with our colleagues in Sales, Risk, and Accounting, processing applications, reminders, and legal disputes
  • You keep track of receivables, analyze key performance indicators, and help us achieve our financial goals
  • You actively participate in projects to further develop and digitize our processes

Requirements

Your profile:
  • You have a strong understanding of debt collection law (SchKG) and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection
  • Ideally, you have experience in the leasing sector and are very good with numbers
  • You can communicate and negotiate fluently in German, English, and/or French; knowledge of Italian is a plus
  • You are very proficient in using Excel
  • You have strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and empathy when dealing with debtors
  • You work independently and in an organized manner, and your work is characterized by precision
