Collection Specialist
Arval Switzerland is seeking a Collections Specialist (80–100%) for its Finance Team in Rotkreuz to handle debt collection and find fair solutions with customers and partners. The ideal candidate has experience in collections, knowledge of debt collection law, and strong communication skills.
Tasks
You’ll handle the entire debt collection process from start to finish—from identifying receivables requiring collection notices at an early stage to initiating appropriate measures, including legal enforcement—and conduct discussions with customers and partners, seek fair solutions, and find sustainable ways to secure payment (developing payment proposals, negotiating installment agreements, and evaluating restructuring and deferral proposals) - You’ll work closely with our colleagues in Sales, Risk, and Accounting Services to achieve the best possible results and secure revenue and liquidity - You’ll maintain an overview of receivables, analyze key metrics, and help us meet our financial goals - You’ll actively contribute to projects aimed at further developing and digitizing our processesRequirements
- You have a strong understanding of debt collection law (SchKG) and at least 5 years of experience in debt collection
- Ideally, you have some knowledge of the leasing industry and are very good with numbers
- You can communicate and negotiate fluently in German, English, and/or French; knowledge of Italian is a plus
- You're very confident using Excel
- Possesses negotiation skills, assertiveness, and empathy when dealing with debtors
- You work independently and in an organized manner, and your work is characterized by precision
