**Compliance Officer, Compliance Controls**
The Compliance Officer supports the management level in complying with internal and external regulations in order to actively manage operational, regulatory and reputational risks. The focus is on monitoring regulatory issues, developing controls and working with stakeholders.
Job description
Tasks
- Support the Head, Compliance Asia in ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies, procedures and instructions.
- Support the Head, Compliance Controls in managing regulatory issues, trends and emerging risks.
- Support the Head of Compliance Controls in the implementation of the Head Office's 2LoD monitoring program in accordance with global standards.
- Foster close working relationships with key stakeholders in Head Office and other locations (especially Hong Kong) for a consistent control framework and alignment of test steps/methodologies.
- Maintaining good contacts with auditors, MAS/law enforcement agencies and key stakeholders to keep abreast of regulatory developments.
- Support the implementation of the Bank's risk culture initiatives and HR's disciplinary and escalation framework.
- Design, develop and execute compliance 2LoD controls, particularly in the areas of facility and suitability, within specified timelines, including proper documentation and timely escalation of findings to management.
- Participate in Compliance Strategy Roadmap projects and coordinate the completion of various Head Office initiatives.
- Preparation and review of reports on root causes and systematic findings.
- Support in the validation and tracking of financial statements.
- Conduct investigations and coordinate escalation to the Disciplinary Committee in accordance with the HR framework.
- Support in ad hoc handling of compliance and market consultation, regulatory inspection updates and reporting (internal and external).
- Supporting the Head of Compliance and contributing to compliance training programs for employees.
