Job Description

Our Financial Crime Compliance department in Luxembourg is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer who can deal with complex clients.

Main tasks

  • Prepare comprehensive compliance analysis and recommendations for opening new and existing accounts for individuals and legal entities/arrangements; assess KYC for AML, sanctions and other financial crime risks to ensure accuracy, completeness and plausibility;
  • Conduct comprehensive and holistic periodic reviews of relationships, including various structures, to ensure up-to-date due diligence and risk classification, cash flow analysis and consistency with KYC information;
  • Develop, implement and maintain local FCC policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws (e.g. CSSF regulations) and best practices;
  • Conduct AML/CFT risk assessments and assist in the development of risk-based controls and monitoring tools;
  • Assessment of clients' tax transparency risk, including FATCA and CRS forms and related elements;
  • Investigation of suspicious transactions and activities, preparation of internal reports and submission of SARs/STRs and/or communication with the Luxembourg authorities;
  • Provide consulting support to front office and other departments on FCC related matters;
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring timely updates to the Bank's FCC framework;
  • Participate in the delivery of FCC training to employees to ensure awareness and compliance across the organization;
  • Assistance with internal audits and regulatory reviews in relation to financial crime compliance.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in compliance roles in financial crime compliance with in-depth knowledge of industry protocols and best practices;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of current sanctions regulations;
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents (trusts, corporate structures, foundations) and policies to identify and mitigate risks and perform assessments;
  • Professional English is required. French or German are an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manner;
  • Familiarity with AML and sanction screening systems and tools;
  • High level of integrity, discretion and attention to detail;
  • Must be a good communicator, be able to resolve conflicts and express him/herself clearly, both verbally and in writing;
  • Has a cooperative personality and is open to suggestions;
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
