Compliance Officer - Governance & Policies 100% (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Compliance Officer – Governance & Policies to support the development and implementation of new methods and frameworks in the area of compliance and to participate in cross-functional projects. The successful candidate should have compliance expertise and practical process design skills to translate industry best practices into internal policies, standards, and controls.
Tasks
- Lead and/or participate in key initiatives to establish new methods and standards for the effective maintenance of the compliance risk management framework.
- Support in planning, coordinating, and monitoring key roadmap initiatives; tracking budgets; and ensuring alignment with business and compliance objectives, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Creating professional, target-audience-specific presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations) to effectively communicate findings, project status, and business implications to various levels of management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to track progress, identify dependencies, and proactively escalate issues.
- Opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders within Compliance and Business, as well as with the Group's international locations.
- Collaboration with partners from all three lines of defense and with domestic and foreign Group subsidiaries.
Requirements
- A college degree or equivalent (preferably in banking and finance, business administration, law, and/or data science).
- At least 5 years of experience in the banking industry with a focus on conceptual work. Experience in compliance, risk management, legal affairs, or auditing in private banking is a plus.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team player.
