Compliance Officer - Governance & Policies 100% (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Compliance Officer – Governance & Policies to support the implementation of new methods and frameworks in the area of compliance and to contribute to the maintenance of the compliance risk management framework. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in the banking industry, preferably in compliance, risk management, legal, or audit.
Tasks
The position of Compliance Officer - Governance & Policies involves the following responsibilities:- Lead and/or participate in key initiatives to establish new methods and standards for the effective maintenance of the compliance risk management framework
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and monitoring of key roadmap initiatives; track budgets; and ensure alignment with business and compliance objectives, timelines, and regulatory requirements
- Creating professional, audience-specific presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations) to effectively communicate findings, project status, and business implications to various levels of management
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to track progress, identify dependencies, and proactively escalate issues
- Opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders within Compliance and Business, as well as with the Group’s international locations
- Collaboration with partners from all three lines of defense and with domestic and foreign subsidiaries of the Group
Requirements
The following requirements apply to this position:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in banking and finance, business administration, law, and/or data science)
- At least 5 years of experience in the banking industry with a focus on strategic work, ideally with experience in compliance, risk management, legal affairs, or auditing in private banking
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work well with others
