Compliance Officer - Intermediaries (Full-Time)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Compliance Officer – Intermediaries to serve as an expert on compliance issues related to intermediaries and finders and to ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines. The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in compliance and risk management and a strong understanding of the Swiss regulatory environment.

Tasks

As a member of the Private Banking Compliance Team, you will serve as a dedicated center of expertise and compliance contact for matters related to intermediaries and finders. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Review local policies and procedures as required
  • Identification and investigation of serious cases of non-compliance
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders both within and outside the compliance function
  • Influencing a culture of compliance among employees to minimize legal, regulatory, sanctions, and reputational risks
  • Support for compliance projects and follow-up on internal and regulatory audits
  • Providing training and training materials on topics related to intermediaries, finders, compliance, and AML
  • Supporting the team with tasks related to intermediaries and finders, including establishing the framework and defining methodologies

Requirements

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in law, economics, business administration, or a banking-related subject)
  • 3–5 years of experience in compliance and risk management for intermediaries (asset managers, family offices), or in audit or compliance roles
  • Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory landscape, in particular AML regulations and client documentation standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and an affinity for IT
  • Strong personality with good organizational, operational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, with excellent analytical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to write accurate evaluations with a strong sense of integrity and discretion
  • Independent, efficient, and meticulous approach to work, with solution-oriented thinking
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
