Job description

The position of Compliance Officer Italy involves serving as a compliance advisor within the entity regarding Italian and European financial regulations, particularly in the area of insurance brokerage activities. This includes conducting thematic regulatory reviews and providing expert support in connection with regulatory changes.

Tasks

The main tasks include:

• BJBRE’s compliance with applicable banking and securities laws, regulations, and internal guidelines in the area of financial regulation, particularly with regard to insurance-related regulations (e.g., IDD)
• Supporting the CMLSO and the Head of Products and Services in maintaining a good and regular relationship with Italian authorities and other relevant regulatory bodies
• The development and review of compliance policies and internal policies/procedures
• Participating in projects to address new regulatory initiatives and contributing to the improvement of regulatory processes

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:

• Master's degree in business, finance, or law
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the European financial industry (auditing, banking, etc.)
• A solid understanding of European financial laws and regulations, particularly those related to insurance (e.g., IDD)
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to define efficient compliance solutions for regulatory requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Italian, enabling the preparation of clear, precise reports with minimal supervision
