Compliance Officer, Italy, Full-Time (m, f, d)
The Compliance Officer for Italy is responsible for ensuring compliance with Italian and European financial regulations within the Julius Baer Group and advises senior management on compliance matters. The position requires a master’s degree in business, finance, or law, as well as at least 3 years of experience in the European financial industry.
Tasks
The role of the Compliance Officer involves serving as a compliance advisor within the entity with regard to Italian and European financial regulations, particularly as they pertain to insurance brokerage activities. This includes conducting thematic regulatory reviews and providing expert support in connection with regulatory changes.Your challenge
- Ensuring compliance with applicable banking and securities laws, regulations, and internal policies regarding financial regulations, particularly with respect to insurance-related regulations (e.g., IDD) - Maintaining a thorough and continuously updated understanding of all regulations, industry best practices, and internal policies and procedures - Supporting the CMLSO and the Head of Products and Services in maintaining a strong and regular relationship with Italian authorities and other relevant regulatory bodies - Providing advice and support regarding regulatory complianceTasks in detail

- Providing advice and support on regulatory compliance
- Development and review of compliance policies and internal policies and procedures

Your profile
- Master’s degree in business, finance, or law - At least 3 years of relevant experience in the European financial industry (auditing, banking) - Strong understanding of European financial laws and regulations, particularly insurance-related regulations (e.g., IDD) - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to define efficient compliance solutions for regulatory requirements - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian to produce clear, precise reports with minimal supervisionWe offer
