Compliance Officer (m/f)

Glarner Kantonalbank is looking for a Compliance Officer (m/f) to monitor and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations. The position includes auditing activities, advising and monitoring business activities and ensuring employee training.

Job description

Your tasks:

  • Performing audit activities in the areas of combating money laundering and terrorism
  • Monitoring and controlling the business activities of the bank as a whole and its employees in particular with regard to CDB, AMLA and international taxes (e.g. FATCA, QII, automatic exchange of information)
  • Advice on all compliance-relevant decisions and business cases with regard to CDB, GwG, international tax law
  • Monitoring and assessing legal and regulatory innovations with regard to compliance-relevant topics (incl. supervision of the corresponding directives)
  • Ensuring that employees receive appropriate training and instruction on compliance-relevant topics
  • Support for the Head of Compliance
  • Collaboration in projects and in the optimization of processes

Your profile:

  • Completed studies or commercial banking apprenticeship with sound further training in compliance
  • Proven and broad professional experience (at least 3 years) in a financial institution - ideally at a bank and with regard to regulatory issues
  • Very good knowledge of regulatory provisions in the area of combating money laundering and terrorism (AMLA, AMLO-FINMA, CDB)
  • Knowledge of international tax law is an advantage
  • Stylistic, oral and written expression in German
  • Knowledge of English and other Swiss national languages is an advantage
  • Willingness to support all topics in the compliance area of a bank and to work collegially, reliably and independently in a small team
  • Independent, reliable and structured way of working and strong interpersonal skills as well as high service orientation
