As a Compliance Officer in the Private Banking Compliance Team at Julius Baer, you will assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly in the area of intermediaries and finders. Your tasks will include reviewing guidelines, investigating compliance cases, and promoting a culture of compliance within the company.

Tasks
- Review local policies and procedures as required
- Identification and investigation of serious cases of non-compliance
- Collaboration with key stakeholders within and outside the compliance area
- Embedding a compliance culture among employees to mitigate legal, regulatory, sanction and reputational risks
- Supporting compliance projects and tracking internal and regulatory audits
- Provision of training and training materials on intermediaries and finders, compliance, and AML issues
- Supporting the team with intermediary and finder-related tasks as needed, including setting frameworks and defining methods
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in law, economics, business administration or a banking-related subject)
- 3-5 years of experience in intermediaries (asset managers, family offices), compliance and risk management, audit, or compliance functions
- Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment, in particular AML regulations and customer documentation standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office and an affinity for IT
- Strong personality with good organizational, operational, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, with excellent analytical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in writing accurate assessments, with a strong sense of integrity and discretion
- Independent, efficient, and meticulous working method, with solution-oriented thinking
- Fluent in English, with additional languages an advantage
